Introducing “Behind The Biz: Influencer & Brand Insights On What *Really* Works For Bloggers Trying To Grow”
I’m so excited to finally be sharing about a new creative venture for me in 2021 that has been in the works for the last month…I’m officially launching a digital course in partnership with lifestyle expert & influencer, Alicia Wood, from Alicia Wood Lifestyle! I’m sharing all of the details below like how this came about, who will benefit from the course, and where to sign up.
How This Came About
I first began working with Alicia on the brand side of things about 2 years ago! From launching a curated clothing collection together to now deep diving into her analytics and forecasting trends, Alicia and I have had the opportunity to work together in a variety of ways.
Over the years, both Alicia and I have learned so much about the unique industry of influencing and what works and doesn’t for both the influencer themselves and brands partnering with them. Others interested in or just beginning in this industry have reached out to each of us with questions and asked for advice.
As we began brainstorming together on the best way to share our insights with other influencers, we came up with the idea to partner together on a digital course! With my brand and digital experience plus Alicia’s industry knowledge, we’ve created a 4 week course that takes you behind her biz, how she got to where she is, what I’m doing to help her continue to grow, and so much more.

We ask that you have a website/blog hosted on WordPress, Instagram business account, are familiar with affiliate marketing and been blogging for at least a year. This course is not geared for those just entering the industry.
What’s Included & All The Details
Behind The Biz consists of 4 live, one hour Zoom Classes, taking place every Wednesday night at 7 pm CST from January 13-Feb 3, 2021. Each live class is taught by Alicia and myself and is specifically designed to help you grow different aspects of your influencer business. You’ll receive digital and printable worksheets for each class to help you take notes and then apply what you’re learning.
You’re probably thinking, “I’ve signed up for so many classes & courses. But, I never get around to actually doing them.” I’m right there with you, which is why we’ve chosen to set this course up a little differently. Having a set date and time you can put into your calendar, where people hold you accountable, is something we’ve found that helps you get the most out of the course.

Class 1: Establish & Defining Your Content
Tired of creating uninspired content and posting just because you should? This class will fix that! Find out what sets your content apart and determine what you’re trying to use your influence for. Learn how to analyze your data from 2020 in Google Analytics and what stats you should *actually* care about. Discover how to repurpose your old content and turn it into evergreen posts. In addition, you’ll learn how to differentiate your content on each platform and create a cohesive content strategy.
January 20, 2021 – 7 pm CST
Class 2: Creating Income & Partnerships
This class will take you behind the scenes of monetizing your content. We’ll give you insight into pitching from both the influencer and brand perspective. You’ll learn tips and strategies for creating long term partnerships with brands. We will share the details on how Alicia has successfully launched 4 different co-branded collections. Plus, you’ll find out the strategies she used to grow her following on LikeToKnow.It and what works now.
January 27, 2021 – 7 pm CST
Class 3: Strategies For Growth
Trying to increase your blog traffic but don’t know how? In this class, we are going to teach you the things everyone tells you to do but never elaborates on: LIKE how to do SEO, email marketing, Pinterest, and more. No longer will these things sound like they are from another language! You’ll learn the exact strategies we are using for Alicia’s business and how to apply it to your own. From writing an effective SEO friendly blog post to setting up quarterly email freebies, you’ll walk away with action items you can implement right away on your site.
February 3, 2021 – 7 pm CST
Class 4: Outsourcing: The Ins & Outs of Hiring Help
At the point where you just can’t do it all between your blog, social & everything else? Trying to figure out where your time is best spent? We are going to help you identify what your bandwidth is and if it’s time for you to hire help. Find out the pros and cons of the different types of help from Alicia’s firsthand experience. Plus, learn about the costs involved, how to manage a team, and the tools Alicia’s team uses. Even if you’re not quite ready to bring on help, this class will help you identify what you enjoy and what you eventually may want help on.
Plus, we will be offering a bonus class on February 10, 2021 at 7 pm CST called Inside The Niche: Over 40 Influencers, where we will dive into this demographic and how to succeed in a world full of super young influencers.
